Are you looking for a special Christmas gift for your family or friends? Why not try something different and gift them a voucher to experience an hour-long Shiatsu treatment! In the holiday spirit I am offering a 15% discount on all vouchers purchased this December.
What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu massage is a traditional Japanese healing therapy which is based on the concepts of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).
The concept of Qi (or Ki in Japanese) states that our vital energy, the Ki within us, is the source of all movement and transformation in the body. Ki flows continuously along pathways called meridians.
When Ki is flowing harmoniously, a person will experience optimal health. If the Ki becomes depleted or blocked, symptoms like fatigue or pain will arise. The flow of Ki can be affected by movement, acupressure , and touch – all used during a shiatsu session – as well as lifestyle, diet and emotions.
Shiatsu treatments are performed on a large futon mattress placed on the floor. For the treatment, you remain fully dressed and should preferably wear loose fitting clothes and bring a pair of clean socks.
Who am I?
My name is Angela Meister and I am a qualified Shiatsu practitioner. My shiatsu practice follows the lineage of Zen Shiatsu founded by the Japanese Master Shizuto Masunaga (1925-1981). I trained under Dr. Wilfried Rappenecker, a pupil of Masunaga’s and the founder of the “Schule für Shiatsu Hamburg” in Germany which is one of the leading Shiatsu institutes in Europe.
My experiences as a qualified yoga teacher, my background in Western medicine and microbiology and perhaps most importantly, my own life journey form an integral part of my approach to Shiatsu.
Purchase a voucher for one or more of my Shiatsu treatments this December and get a 15% discount (pay R340 per session instead of my normal summer rate of R400 per session).
All treatments are performed either in the comfort of your own home, or at one of my working places in Knysna or Plettenberg Bay. Printable vouchers will be emailed after purchase. The recipient of a voucher can book an appointment for their treatment at their convenience. Appointments will be available as of mid January and vouchers will remain valid until November 2018.
