I always had a great affinity to Eastern practices and at the same time a keen interest in the science behind it.
For 20 years I have been experimenting with strengthening my health and exploring my spiritual needs. It all started with Hatha Yoga classes, then a Yoga teachers‘ training, many follow up courses and retreats, meditation in Yoga, Vipassana, Zen, and Qigong.
The last couple of years I focused on training as a Shiatsu practitioner. For me, this became a life style which helped me with many obstacles along the road. Practicing Shiatsu also lead to a deep awareness for what we all need: attention and time, relaxation and contemplation, joy, deep breathing, movement and compassion.
My vision is to share these insights with others, to learn from them and show them where to look to spark a transformation towards an understanding of their most urgent needs on a physical as well as a spiritual level.
I also like to work with people who are caring for other people. I started doing this at Hospice in Knysna as well as in a drug re-hab centre in Plettenberg Bay. I offer my service to people who are financially restricted on a donation base and also to come to private homes where there is a need.
